French giants PSG are looking to bolster their squad with two Premier League stars in order to launch a Champions League challenge next year.
The Parisiens, who are priced as 5/4 favourites to beat Monaco away this weekend, have identified Tottenham ‘keeper Hugo Lloris and Manchester United’s teen sensation Adnan Januzaj as their primary targets for the coming summer.
Current PSG stopper Salvatore Sirigu is in fine form this year, but Paris manager Laurent Blanc is said to believe that a top-class goalie is of paramount importance if his side are to compete at the next level.
Lloris, who would cost at least £16m, recently opened the door to a move away from White Hart Lane after admitting that he will have to “weigh things up” if the Lilywhites fail to qualify for Europe’s premier competition.
Blanc and Lloris have worked together in the past in the France international setup and a reunion would make sense for all parties if Tim Sherwood fails to lead his side to a top four finish – a feat currently priced at 7/2.
Further up the field, Blanc has turned his attention to his old club United and is said to be readying a £40m bid for wonderkid Januzaj.
The Kosovo-born winger has been one of just a few bright sparks in the champions’ torrid title defence and is set to start against Fulham this weekend – with the Red Devils 2/9 favourites for the win.
Januzaj, who qualifies to represent a number of countries, recently stated his desire to play for and remain in England but with United struggling to secure Champions League football for the season ahead the 19-year-old could have his head turned by the bright lights of Paris.
PSG failed with a £15m bid to land their man in the January window but United boss David Moyes’ resolve will be put to the test with a more substantial bid in the summer.
