It’s fair to say more-or-less all eyes in the football world will be on Stade Louis II as Monaco and Manchester City do battle once again, following the Citizens’ dramatic 5-3 triumph in a first-leg of breathless excitement and attacking flair.
While it won’t offer huge profits at 4/11, we reckon it’s still well worth backing Both Teams to Score in this clash. Monaco have netted in every one of the last 20 games, while City have scored in 16 of their last 20.
Meanwhile, after the eight-goal thriller last time out, the 9/2 for over 5.5 goals is already proving popular with punters.
One man who looks sure to add to the second-leg tally is Monaco prodigy Kylian Mbappe. The 18-year-old has scored 10 goals in as many games, so it’s a surprise to see him as long as 17/10 to net anytime, while it’s 6/1 for him to score the opening goal for the third game in succession.
For the visitors, it’s all about that man Sergio Aguero. Two first-leg goals took his tally in this competition to 27 goals (or 33, if we’re including the qualifiers).
And with six in his last five games this season, including a pair of doubles, the Argentine ace is 5/6 to score anytime, with 9/2 for him to grab a brace – or more.
However, while the irrepressible Aguero will prove tough to keep quiet, we reckon it’s Monaco who will outscore their opponents in this second leg – especially with the impetus on Les Monegasques to go out and attack.
That means we’re tipping up the 13/5 for Monaco to win and Both Teams to Score, while it’s 9/1 for Leonardo Jardim’s men to record a 10th 2-1 win of the campaign.
Meanwhile, in the match betting, our traders reckon there’s little between the pair, with each side 6/4 for victory, while the draw is priced at 11/4.
