Inter Milan’s Argentine pair Diego Milito and Esteban Cambiasso have been ruled for three weeks with injury.

Both Milito and Cambiasso suffered thigh strains while playing for Argentina in a 1-0 friendly defeat to Japan on Friday.

The duo will miss Inter’s clash with Cagliari on Sunday as well as the visit of Spurs to the San Siro.

They are, however, both hopeful of being fit for the return trip to White Hart Lane.

Milito, who was Inter’s top scorer last season with 22 goals, hasn’t fared as well this campaign, netting only twice so far and has found himself sat mainly on the bench, with French stiker Jonathan Biabiany starting alongside Samuel Eto’o instead.

Cambiasso however, has been as strong and dependable as ever, not missing a minute of Inter’s season so far.

His loss in the middle of the park will definitely be felt over the next few games.

Though clearly a blow for Inter, potential replacements for both Milito and Cambiasso are back in training after injuries.

Brazilian midfielder Thiago Motta has returned after a knee operation and could cover Cambiasso’s holding role while the Argentine recovers.

Goran Pandev has also recovered from a minor knock and will return to the bench against Cagliari.

He will hope to challenge both Eto’o and Biabany for a starting spot over the coming games.

Captain Javier Zanetti is also back in contention after sitting out a friendly with Japan as he had a chest injury, and will be a welcome boost for the team.

Inter currently lie second in Serie A, three points behind Lazio, but are still heavy favourites to retain their crown at 1/1.

They’re also 12/1 to retain the Champions League and an odds on 4/9 to win Group A at the expense of Spurs.

Inter are 1/1 to win their fifth Serie A title in a row. Follow the full Serie A market here.
