Athletic Bilbao look the value bet at 4/6 to continue their impressive home form in La Liga this season with another victory over Hercules.

Match Odds

Bilbao have already triumphed seven times this season at home and if they could come anywhere close to replicating this form on their travels, they would be far closer to challenging for a top-four finish rather than sitting in mid-table.

They have also won six of their last seven home games, while having a fine record in their most recent clashes with Hercules, winning five of the most recent six La Liga meetings between the pair.

Hercules have only won once on their travels all season, but are 4/1 to move further clear of the drop zone by beating Bilbao.

To Win To Nil

There are many reasons to suggest that Bilbao’s odds of 7/4 to win the game to nil may also be worth taking.

Firstly, Bilbao have not had problems scoring against Hercules in the past, striking 24 goals in the last seven top-flight encounters between the pair.

Bilbao have also found the target at least once in their last 13 home games in La Liga, while Hercules have kept clean sheets just three times on their travels all season.

Meanwhile, Hercules have managed just three away goals in La Liga and two of these came in their opening away game of the season at Barcelona.

Nelson Valdez has scored all of these three goals and can be backed at 8/1 to grab the opening goal.

For Bilbao, the obvious betting candidate to score first would be Fernando Llorente at 7/2, but it may be worth a small punt on Javier Martinez continuing his good recent form.

Martinez has three goals in four games for Bilbao and this makes him overpriced at 11/1 to be the first goalscorer.

A £25 stake on Bilbao beating Hercules 2-0 would return £150. New customers can sign up here for a free £25 bet.
