The Europa League final may be a warm up for the greatest club competition in Europe, but it is no less of a vehicle to make serious profit from.
Many clubs spend their time doing all they can trying not to take part in Uefa’s second-tier tournament, but if those same naysayers had just taken it half as seriously as Sevilla, then they could have enjoyed quite a bit of success.
The Spanish outfit head to Warsaw looking to win their fourth Uefa Cup/Europa League crown since 2005/06 and, should they manage it on this occasion, will book a place in next season’s Champions League for good measure.
They are up against Ukrainian outfit Dnipro who are complete novices in comparison. Before this adventure to the final, the club’s best effort in Europe in their entire history was a pair of European Cup quarter finals in 1985 and 1990.
Regardless of the pair’s polar opposite stature and chances of winning the game (Sevilla are 3/5 favourites), Ladbrokes have decided to celebrate the goal scoring aspect of the final for their dedicated Europa League promotion.
The bookie will be the top price on all players in the first goalscorer market compared to William Hill, Coral, Bet365, BetVictor and Paddy Power, while also ensuring they better those companies in the correct score market too.
Those prices will be available from 9am on the morning of the final and are applicable for the game’s 90 minutes, not extra time.
It means the likes of La Liga hotshot Carlos Bacca, who has broken the deadlock with three of his five goals in the competition, will be available at a superb price before kick-off.
