After a combined 28 games in this competition, it’s finally the game that Ajax and Manchester United players have been waiting for – the Europa League Final. So, who is set to lift the famous trophy, and who is destined for heartbreak in Stockholm?

Well, it’s Jose Mourinho’s men who are favourites in the betting. There’s 5/6 on offer for the Premier League giants to win in 90 minutes, with 13/5 for this clash to reach extra-time, and Ajax 16/5 outsiders for victory.

That favouritism makes sense when you take a deeper delve into the stats – though United are unlikely to run away with the game.

Ajax have failed to win any of their last six European games away from Amsterdam ArenA this term, losing each of the most recent three – against Kobenhavn, Schalke 04 and Lyon, respectively.

As for United, they haven’t lost any of their last 10 in the UEL, conceding a stingy four goals in the process.

That means we like the look of Man United to win to nil at 7/5.

However, with the Old Trafford outfit not scoring more than two goals in any of their last 11 matches, more ambitious punters could be rewarded by a 2-0 Red Devils win at 7/1, especially with Mourinho’s side having won by that scoreline nine times this term.

So, who do we fancy to do the damage for the North-West club?

Well, Paul Pogba returned to scoring ways against Crystal Palace at the weekend, delivering one of his best displays of the season in the process.

He’s 10/3 to score anytime in 90 minutes here, with 9/1 for the French ace to open the scoring for the fourth time this term.

But whether or not the world’s most expensive player comes up trumps again in Stockholm, you’d surely fancy United to lift the trophy at odds of 2/5, with Ajax out at 15/8 to get their hands on the prize.
