With the start of Euro 2016 just a day away the time to weigh up the form and place your pre-tournament wagers is nearly over.

However, before you sit back and relax there’s still one last chunk of important analysis and insight to paw over.

And that, of course, is our views from the trading floor!

We pinned down three of Ladbrokes’ top football odds compilers to get their thoughts on how this summer’s tournament will pan out and which players will light up the competition.

So, without much further ado, let’s take a look at how our panel are assessing the Euros…

Bradley Addison – Senior Football Trader

Who’s your pick to win Euro 2016?

France. Home advantage will prove crucial, coupled with the fact that they’ll be fielding some of the best players in the world.

Who offers the best value in the Top Goalscorer market?

Alvaro Morata. Spain’s new number nine has a great future ahead of him.

What’s your best bet for the tournament?

Austria to win Group F. I’m never overly impressed with Portugal at major tournaments and fancy Austria to take pole position.

Which team do you fancy to be this summer’s surprise package?

Again, Austria! They’re a big price so would recommend going each way. They enjoyed a strong qualifying campaign and have some quality players in their squad who have had great seasons.

Name a player that’ll have Premier League clubs on red alert this summer?

Morata will be heavily linked with all the big clubs. Also, Hakan Calhanoglu for Turkey, who will be pivotal to their success.

Chris Duff – Senior Football Trader

Who’s your pick to win Euro 2016?

Belgium. They have a good enough squad to pose a challenge to the front runners.

Who offers the best value in the Top Goalscorer market?

Xherdan Shaqiri each way. In a relatively weak group he can hopefully score a few against Romania and Albania and secure a place.

What’s your best bet for the tournament?

Poland to be the highest scoring team each-way given the fact that they were the highest scorers in qualifying.

Which team do you fancy to be this summer’s surprise package?

Croatia. They’ve gone under the radar but have a quality squad with plenty of pedigree.

Name a player that’ll have Premier League clubs on red alert this summer

Michy Batshuayi, if he gets game time for Belgium. He had a decent campaign for a Marseille team in crisis.

Chris Pender – Senior Football Trader

Who’s your pick to win Euro 2016?

Italy. Forget about their preparation, they always turn up for big tournaments.

Who offers the best value in the Top Goalscorer market?

Graziano Pelle. He’s the focal point and looks a massive price.

What’s your best bet for the tournament?

Turkey to beat Croatia.

Which team do you fancy to be this summer’s surprise package?

Romania. They only conceded twice in qualifying and they’ll prove a tough nut to crack.

Name a player that’ll have Premier League clubs on red alert this summer

I’m with Bradley on the talents of Turkey’s Hakan Calhanoglu. His ability from free-kicks is sure to catch the eye and his all-round play will have English clubs purring.
