Not content with boosting Rickie Lambert to score first Ladbrokes is giving the Liverpool v Middlesbrough game even more enhancement action.

The bookmaker has boosted a Liverpool win with both teams to score from 7/4 to a mouth-watering 2/1.

Despite Liverpool’s recent woes, Liverpool are still expected to win and go into this Capital One Cup fixture as 8/15 favourites.

However, with Aston Villa and West Ham proving the Reds will find it hard to emulate the success of last year without the sold Luis Suarez and the injured Daniel Sturridge, there will be plenty keen to take the 9/2 about a Boro win or the 10/3 on a 90 minute draw.

That said, a look at the stats suggests that a Liverpool win with both teams finding the back of the net is perhaps the best value bet of the night – especially at the enhanced price!

Boro may be flying high on the road after winning eight of their last nine games away from the Riverside, including their last three in the Championship, but Liverpool at Anfield is a different assignment altogether.

Brendan Rodgers men have lost just four of their last 24 games as hosts in all competitions and have lost just one of their last nine meetings with the Teessiders.

As such a Liverpool win looks a cert, but almost as likely is Middlesbrough finding the back of the net.

Both teams have scored in four of Liverpool’s last six outings in all competitions and in five of their last six League Cup games.

The records look set to expand with Middlesbrough netting in 12 of their last 13 Capital One games and six of their last seven in all competitions.

The hosts may be without Sturridge and the likely-to-be-rested Mario Balotelli but with Fabio Borini – who has hit three goals in five League Cup games – and Rickie Lambert both having a point to prove Liverpool will be provide a potent goal threat.

Boro have their own goal machine though in 24-year-old Spaniard Kike who has already five goals this season, including a League Cup strike against Oldham in the first round.

So, while Liverpool should pick up a routine win, you can bank on Boro not going down without a fight.
