On the basis of recent form Mexico look a huge price at 11/2 to win their Copa America clash having played and won all of their seven games they played in the month of June.

However the Mexicans, who are a guest nation of the Copa America, are sending their under-23 team to the championships because they cannot use FIFA to demand the release of players from their clubs, and Chile can take full advantage of this weakened team.

Having opened up at 11/10 to beat Mexico, Chile are now as short as 4/7 to win and while the Chileans only have two wins in seven ties against Mexico, this squad should be too strong for the Mexicans.

Alexis Sanchez will have his first opportunity to showcase just why Barcelona and Manchester City want to pay £40m for his services, and the attacker is 5/1 to get the first goal tonight.

Chile are unbeaten in their last eight games and Sanchez has two goals in his last four starts and with the likes of Arturo Vidal and Humberto Suazo offering plenty of support, a Mexican squad which includes 10 players who have never been capped will struggle.

However Chile aren’t prolific scorers so take the 8/11 for under 2.5 goals.

Uruguay vs Peru

Having watched Argentina and Brazil stumble at the first hurdle, Uruguay will be determined not to go the same way as their market rivals in the Copa America betting in tonight’s game.

The World Cup semi-finalists are 2/5 to beat Peru tonight but historically the Uruguayan’s struggle against Peru and have won just two of their nine meetings, drawing one and losing the other six.

However in 2008 on home soil, Diego Forlan scored a hat-trick in a 6-0 rout and Forlan will lead the Uruguay attack tonight and is 7/2 to score first.

Peru have lost just one on their last 11 games and are improving under Sergio Makarian, but three goalless draws in their last three games suggests they will try to stifle Uruguay tonight.

Without Jefferson Farfan or Claudio Pizzaro Peru will struggle to score so back a Uruguay clean sheet at 8/11.
