The Championship starts to hot up this Wednesday with Cardiff, Blackpool, Brighton and Derby all looking to maintain their perfect starts to the season.
Here’s what we reckon is going to happen…
Cardiff v Brighton (7.45pm)
After two games both of these sides have maximum points and look like good bets to finish high in the Championship table.
The Bluebirds haven’t lost at home to Brighton since 1984 and, with new boss Malky MacKay strengthening the South Wales club in the middle of the park, they will be hard to beat.
Cardiff have never won three opening league games in their history but should end that run today and take all three points at 1/1.
Leicester v Bristol City (7.45pm)
Big-spending Leicester City are looking to bounce back from their shock 2-0 defeat against Reading at the weekend.
Bristol City should be no problem for the Foxes though, with the Robins losing their opening two games and shipping six goals in the process.
Backing Leicester to win at 8/15 and over 2.5 goals look the bets.
Millwall v Peterborough (7.45pm)
Peterborough have won just two of their previous 14 league games against Millwall and it’s hard to see them adding to this total this evening.
The Lions lost just five home games last season and won their opening game 2-0 against last season’s play-off semi finalists Nottingham Forest.
The newly promoted Posh will have to look elsewhere for their second win of the season though and Millwall should be backed at 5/6
Blackpool v Derby (8pm)
Following some good buys in the summer, Blackpool have hardly noticed the absence of Charlie Adam and DJ Campbell, winning their opening two games.
The visit of Derby County will prove a trickier test for Ian Holloway’s men, but – as is always the case with the Seasiders at home – there is every chance they could concede.
They’ve already shipped one at home this season so back Blackpool to win at 5/6 and over 2.5 goals look worth backing.
