Ladbrokes offer the best Championship betting odds of 9/2 on Nottingham Forest winning the title this year as they continue to chase down current table-toppers QPR.

Forest have been in blistering league form of late as they have avoided defeat since November to significantly climb the Championship standings.

Five straight wins and eight victories in nine games have taken them to within seven points of QPR and they still have two games in hand.

Meanwhile, their chances could be boosted further after the next round of Championship fixtures as Nottingham Forest travel to QPR and a victory would put the whereabouts of the title into their own hands for the first time.

Perhaps the big question mark hanging over the head of Forest is that they have some tough away games remaining this season.

Alongside travelling to QPR, they still have to face Swansea, Leeds and Norwich on the road, who all currently occupy play-off places.

QPR’s decent lead at the head of the table makes them the worthy 8/13 favourites to win the Championship, but it also seems that they will be pushed right to the wire by Cardiff.

Cardiff ensured that all of the top three won their latest Championship games 1-0 with a vital success at Welsh rivals Swansea.

Five defeats in seven league games at the end of 2010 threatened to jeopardise Cardiff’s title aspirations, but they have since strung together a five-match unbeaten run to remain eight points behind QPR with one game in hand.

Cardiff are now 7/1 in the Championship betting to win the title and with top scorer Jay Bothroyd now seemingly back fit, they should not be ruled out.

A £25 stake on Leeds winning the Championship this season would return £500. New customers can sign up here for a free £25 bet.
