This week’s Championship accumulator features some big results at the wrong end of the table and pays out a monster of a price. An appetite-whetting 55/1 is the bounty should this fourfold cop and Barnsley’s win at Blackpool goes a long way to forming it.
Barnsley to beat Blackpool @ 7/2
The rudderless Tangerines are ripe for the picking and Barnsley could be in for some more joy on the road here.
Victory at Wolves snapped a six-game winless streak for Blackpool, while the Tykes are revelling in the glories that appointing a new manager so often brings about. They’ve won four and drawn one since appointing former assistant Gary Flitcroft to the hot-seat and, having conceded just once in that spell, expect them to put in a good showing by the seaside.
Derby to beat Huddersfield @ 5/6
The shortest price of this accumulator is for a Rams win over struggling Huddersfield. They’re usually very reliable at home and will be looking to get things back on track after two outings without a win on their own patch.
Huddersfield’s form, however, is the reason behind this selection.
They’re six without an away win in the Championship, conceding 17 and scoring just three in response.
Ipswich to beat Middlesbrough @ 17/10
Tony Mowbray is set for an unhappy return to Portman Road based on his sides’ inability to find the back of the net.
The Tractor Boys’ have simmered down following an initial splurge of wins after installing Mick McCarthy as manager and haven’t won any of their previous five league games.
Boro, however, have lost four straight away days, scoring just twice in that time, and this woeful form should see Ipswich get back to winning ways on home soil.
Burnley to beat Peterborough @ 6/4
The Clarets have won four of their previous six games without conceding and, if they can repeat this sort of defensive fortitude at London Road, they’re more than capable of triumphing again.
The Posh aren’t playing as badly as they have done this season, but they’re bottom of the league for a reason and have failed to win in six of their previous eight home games, putting Burnley well in with a shout.
