After John Terry joined Aston Villa, now Ashley Cole could be set to join a Birmingham-based Championship club.

The left-back has been linked with a surprise move to Birmingham City.

Now 36-years-old, Cole is currently with LA Galaxy in MLS.

But despite his age, joining the Blues would represent quite the coup for Harry Redknapp’s side.

Cole boasts over 300 Premier League appearances, winning the title three times with Arsenal and Chelsea.

And he’s one of the most decorated FA Cup players of all time, lifting the famous trophy a stunning seven times.

The Londoner is also the sixth-most capped England international, with 107 appearances for the Three Lions.

City could certainly use Cole’s experience, with a rather lengthy 25/1 on offer for them to win the second-tier this season.

And at 8/1 for promotion, Redknapp looks like he might have his work cut out for the campaign ahead.
