Manchester City’s odds of winning this season’s Champions League have been cut to just 9/1, following their remarkable victory over Barcelona this week at the Etihad.

And that drop in odds now makes Pep Guardiola’s side by far the most likely English club to lift the famous trophy, having been 12/1 prior to their victory over the Spanish giants. Arsenal are some way off at 20/1 to win their first ever European cup under Arsene Wenger, while Tottenham Hotspur and Leicester City are priced up at 33/1 and 40/1 respectively.

The Citizens were one round away from reaching the final of Europe’s biggest club competition last campaign, and 9/2 says they go one further and make it to the final this season.

It’s a competition that the City boss knows all too well, having won it twice before, while never failing to reach the final four.

Punters fancying domestic and European domination from the Citizens can get odds of 16/1 on them winning the Double, while 100/1 says they complete an historic Premier League – Emirates FA Cup – Champions League treble.

It’s also 16/1 for City to lock horns with the Catalans again at any stage in this European campaign. And that’s a realistic possibility, considering the two sides have met in the knockout stages in two of the last three European campaigns.

A Ladbrokes spokesperson said: “Last night’s victory against Barcelona has left City fans dreaming of Champions League glory, and our traders have been forced to act accordingly.”
