Arsenal already have one foot and four toes of the other in the group stages of the Champions League after their 3-0 victory over Fenerbahce in Turkey, which makes it difficult to anticipate the intensity at which they will play in the return leg.

One thing that does look on the likely side is that a late goal will be scored at the Emirates and this is one of our three best bets for the first night’s action of the second legs of the Champions League play-off round.

Arsenal v Fenerbahce: Goal scored between 75:00-Full Time @ 5/6

Oliver Giroud’s penalty in Istanbul came in the final 15 minutes and all of Arsenal’s three games in all competitions this season have seen a goal scored in this period.

Arsenal’s last three Champions League fixtures have also witnessed a goal netted in this period too, while they made a habit of striking late in the last campaign, scoring 32 goals in all competitions between the 75th minute and the final whistle.

PAOK v Schalke: Under 2.5 goals @ 3/4

The first leg between this pair finished 1-1 in Germany and Schalke’s scoring capabilities are hindered here by the absence of chief goal-getter Klaas-Jan Huntelaar.

PAOK are looking to make it third time lucky in reaching the group stages of the Champions League and knowing that a clean sheet will send them through, there is every possibility that they will line-up with a fairly defensive mindset.

Steaua Bucharest to qualify against Legia Warsaw @ 11/10

Steaua were arguably unfortunate to only draw 1-1 at home, but interestingly have won their two away games in the competition thus far to reach this stage.

They look the best team here, with Legia also unimpressive in seeing off TNS and Molde to progress to this point.
