Braga have their work cut out if they are to claim victory in their first ever Champions League game when they head to the Emirates to face Arsenal.

Arsene Wenger’s men have qualified from the group stages of the competition in all of the last ten seasons and have done so as group winners on seven occasions.

They are 2/5 to progress to the knockout stages of the competition this year as the winners of Group H and maintaining their fine home record in the tournament will be pivotal if they are to achieve this feat.

Arsenal have only lost once in 24 Champions League games at home and won all five games at the Emirates last season before Barcelona claimed a 2-2 draw as part of a 6-3 aggregate win in the quarter finals.

Wenger’s team are 1/4 to beat Braga in the first ever meeting between the two teams, with the Portuguese outfit 11/1 to cause a shock and return home with the three points.

Marouane Chamakh is likely to make his Champions League debut for Arsenal in the fixture and is 7/2 to open the scoring.

The other Group H encounter sees Partizan Belgrade travel to Shahktar Donetsk hoping to gain revenge for their Europa League defeat against the same opposition last season.

Shahktar beat the Serbians 4-1 at home in the group stages of the Europa League and are 2/5 to win again.

A repeat of the 4-1 victory is priced at 14/1, although they will need to keep Brazilian striker Cleo quiet if they want to emerge victorious.

Cleo has already scored eight goals in Partizan’s successful qualifying campaign for the Champions League and is 9/1 to break the deadlock, with his team 7/1 to claim maximum points.

Arsenal will be confident of qualifying from Group H and are 14/1 to win the Champions League. See the whole Champions League winners market.
