2015 Football Blogging Awards: Meet the finalists – OLBG

Betting habits differ and for every Gut Truster out there, happy to place their faith blindly on instinct alone, there’s a Professor looking to gain an edge on the bookies by arming themselves with every stat imaginable.

This can be a time consuming process and while some people are happy to pore over the form for hour upon hour others simply don’t have the time and that’s where expert blogs come in.

There are currently hundreds of websites dedicated to tipping up winners but when it comes to success and providing engaging content there are some sites that stand out.

These websites go above and beyond to meet our needs and it’s almost that time of year when the cream of the crop are recognised at the annual Football Blogging Awards.

The 2015 edition will soon take place in Manchester and Ladbrokes is getting behind the event by sponsoring the Best Gambling Football Blog award.

The finalists have all been named and we’ll be giving you the lowdown on each nominee between now and the big day.

Today we take a peek behind the scenes at OLBG…

We really do have an expert for every sport. If anyone wants to improve their betting knowledge it’s a must read.

LN: Describe a day in the life of an OLBG blogger

OLBG: Our bloggers are generally long term members who have contributed to the site over a period of time. Their contribution is noted and they are invited or in some cases apply to become an OLBG Blogger.

Some prolific bloggers add three or four blogs a week which they diligently research and other bloggers specialise in specific teams or sports with the emphasis on always helping the reader.

LN: Which story are you most proud of?

OLBG: We hope the majority of blogs give the reader assistance in making their betting lives more profitable and to discover new ways and angles to regularly beat the bookies. We are proud of all the blogs on OLBG.

OLBG: Winning the award would be a great way to say thanks for all the time and effort put in by bloggers. It will also spread the word and prove what we already know; OLBG bloggers are expert betting tipsters so let’s beat the bookies!
