Eight games take place tonight to kick-off the third qualifying round ahead of the group stages of the Champions League and we have believe we have identified the results of half of these fixtures, which offers accumulator odds of 33/1.

The most obvious pick is FC Twente winning their game in Holland against Romanian side FC Vaslui and reading The Safety Net elsewhere on the website will provide a more detailed breakdown of reasons for this selection.

Twente have shortened to 1/3 in the Champions League betting to win the first leg, while Litex Lovech look overpriced at 6/5 to win their home encounter with Wisla Krakow.

Litex remained unbeaten in their 15 home games en route to winning the Bulgarian title last season and in these fixtures at the Gradski Stadion they only conceded five goals.

Wisla may have won the Polish title, but their away form was not the best, winning just six times on the road and ending the campaign with a negative goal difference from their fixtures on their travels.

The other two Champions League predictions tonight are draws in the games between FC Zestafoni and Sturm Graz and Genk and Partizan Belgrade.

Georgian side Zestafoni have not lost at home since October and should be capable of holding Sturm Graz, who have also begun the new Austrian season with two draws.

The draw in Georgia is 9/4 in the Champions League betting.

Meanwhile, Partizan are unbeaten in their last 11 games and may be able to gain a result in Belgium against a Genk side who have inconsistent in their pre-season friendlies.

Genk do have plenty of young talent in their ranks, including Chelsea transfer target Kevin De Bruyne, but 5/2 seems generous that Partizan can leave Belgium with a draw.
