All three of our best bets for the opening night of the Champions League were successful and can be seen here and we are hoping that Manchester United can spearhead another productive night in the second batch of games on the first gameweek.

The Red Devils were a class apart when beating Wigan 4-0 in their last Premier League outing and this was despite resting the likes of Robin Van Persie and Antonio Valencia.

Galatasaray may be top of the Turkish league after four fixtures, but no team in the top nine of the standings have conceded more goals thus far.

Meanwhile, Galatasaray have lost their last four Champions League away games and Sir Alex Ferguson will almost certainly ensure his team do not underachieve in the competition after the nightmare of 12 months ago.

Manchester United are tipped to overcome a one-goal handicap and it is 8/11 that they beat Galatasaray by at least two goals at Old Trafford.

Handicap betting also looks the best option at the Allianz Arena where Bayern Munich host Valencia.

Valencia’s two away games in La Liga so far this season have brought a draw at Real Madrid and just a 1-0 defeat at Barcelona, which is arguably better form than they have produced on their own patch.

Bayern have been fairly free scoring in the Bundesliga so far, but largely against weaker opposition.

They are still without Mario Gomez and Valencia have already shown an ability in La Liga to cope with opposition who have a possession-based game.

The draw may prove a wise bet at 10/3, but preference is for the 6/4 that Valencia win with a one-goal handicap head start.

Finally, we are taking a big risk in siding with Cluj to upset Braga in Portugal.

Cluj have already won home and away against Czech champions Slovan Liberec and Basle to reach this stage, alongside triumphing in their last two domestic fixtures.

They look overpriced at 11/2 to beat Braga, while 5/4 is available that they win with a one-goal handicap.
