Having scored a hat-trick on his previous visit to the San Siro, it’s safe to say Gareth Bale would’ve been looking forward to a return to Milan.

Instead the Welshman will have to enjoy the dulcet tones of Alan Smith and Martin Tyler after failing to prove his fitness in time for Tuesday nights clash which is live on Sky Sports 2.

Match Odds

Luka Modric is a serious doubt which means Rafael Van der Vaart may have to be risked as Harry Redknapp suffers a shortage of influential players, and considering Tottenham Hotspur’s current injury woes, AC Milan look a great price at 8/11.

Despite Spurs’ incredible second-half comeback against Inter, they still lost the game and the 4/1 seems the right price for Spurs to take an advantage into the second leg.

But Milan are on a poor streak in Europe against English opposition, losing their last five to Premier League teams and Massimiliano Allegri’s have exited at this stage of the competition to English teams in the last two years.

Total Goals

Zlatan Ibrahimovich has been the stand-out player in Seria A this season and has scored four goals in five Champions League starts for Milan – the Swede is 4/1 to get the first goal and 11/10 to score any time.

But ominously for Spurs, Milan beat Parma 4-0 on Saturday without Ibrahimovich in the side and Robinho, who got a brace in the win – is 2/1 to score at any time.

Spurs are the highest goalscorers in the Champions League this season and a high-scoring game could once again be on the cards with over 3.5 goals at 9/4 looking the pick of the markets.

An away goal will be key if spurs are to harbour any ambitions of progressing and Harry Redknapp’s side at 1/1 to qualify.

A £25 stake on AC Milan winning 3-2 would return £650. New customers can sign up here for a free bet worth £25.
