There’s just two more sleeps until the final of the PDC World Matchday in Blackpool on Sunday and here at Ladbrokes, we’ve got you covered.
Tonight’s pick of the action sees back-to-back Matchplay winner Michael van Gerwen take on 15-time champion, Phil Taylor.
To put that into context, between them the pair have won 17 out of the 23 stagings of the competition.
This evening there can only be one winner.
And we fancy that man to be MVG.
If you’re looking for value, the specials market is the one to look at.
Michael van Gerwen to be King of the Oche (Win Match, Most 180s, Highest Checkout) for the third match in a row is Evens to land.
But better than that, Both Players to Score 101+ with their 1st Three Darts is a highly tempting 7/2.
In the other quarter-final Adrian Lewis takes on Alan Norris.
‘Chuck’ has already seen off Premier League duo Kim Huybrechts and Dave Chisnall, and we make the Somerset-thrower a 2/1 shot to make it to his first PDC Major semi-final.
Unsurprisingly Lewis is the favourite in the contest at 2/5, but again it’s the specials market that holds most appeal.
Both players have been involved in tight games throughout the tournament so far, and we’re expecting another close one here.
For that reason Jackpot to win 16-12 or 16-13 at 5/1 looks a great shout in the match betting.
Otherwise the King of the Oche market again looks tempting, with Lewis – a prominent power scorer and big finisher – handsomely priced at 5/2.
The overall tournament betting remains in favour of Michael van Gerwen (2/5), with Peter Wright the next best (10/3).
In terms of value we like Daryl Gurney at 9/1 to win his first Matchplay title.
The mercurial Northern-Irishman has been in scintillating form of late and beat his opponent tomorrow evening, Peter Wright, at the US Masters last week.
Our traders make him 2/1 to repeat the feat against the Scotsman.
