Exeter’s Westpoint Arena plays host to the Premier League Darts roadshow in week five and for one tungsten slinger the trip down to Devon looks set to end in defeat for the first time this season.
Having finished his maiden Premier League campaign with five straight losses to finish up seventh, Dave Chisnall deserves the plaudits for his excellent start to 2015.
Chizzy arrives for the fifth round of fixtures locked in a two-way lead at the top of the standings alongside 2013 champion Michael van Gerwen, having won three times and drawn the other match.
It would take a cruel sort to wipe away any sheen off such a commanding start, though a reality check looks to be heading the St.Helens dartist’s way in Devon.
Thus far Chisnall has only faced players currently residing in fifth or lower and next up he has the reigning world champion to contend with on the Westpoint stage.
Gary Anderson is just one point behind Chizzy having seen off Phil Taylor, Peter Wright and James Wade, whilst losing 7-4 to MVG in week three.
Anderson has triumphed in the last four encounters with Chisnall, most notably achieving a Premier League double over the Englishman in 2014.
It is worth noting none of those matches have been walkovers for the Scot though, with a three-leg winning margin the greatest which could make spreading some change over 7-5 or 7-4 to Anderson at 9/2 and 7/1 respectively, very worthwhile.
After nailing a joint-high of six 180s in Belfast, Chizzy provides value at 11/10 to outmuscle Anderson in the lipstick department as a counter bet.
