With only one week to go until Judgement Night in Liverpool, it’s all to play for in the Premier League on Thursday evening.
Mensur Suljovic, Peter Wright and Gerwyn Price all face crunch clashes as they try to preserve their status in Belfast.
Who’ll get the edge in the battle to avoid relegation? And who’ll be left floundering at the bottom of the table?
We’ve previewed all of tonight’s clashes and come up with a 10/1 Oche Acca to boot…
Gary Anderson to beat Mensur Suljovic
The last man Suljovic wanted to run into in Belfast is Gary Anderson.
The Scotsman is unbeaten in four matches and produced a storming 102.68 average complete with six 180s to see off Simon Whitlock in Nottingham last week.
His opponent tonight is on a two-game losing run and has lost two from three against Ando over the shorter format.
Michael Smith to beat Gerwyn Price
Despite his loss to Michael van Gerwen last week, Michael Smith remains on course to qualify for Premier League finals night.
Bully Boy has won seven of his nine games and should make light work of the below-par Gerwyn Price.
His Welsh opponent is winless in the competition and also holds the lowest overall average at 92.07.
Judgement night can’t come soon enough for the beleaguered Iceman. Smith is 8/11 to prevail here.
Michael van Gerwen to beat Raymond van Barneveld
The two doyens of Dutch darts meet in the third game of the evening as van Gerwen takes on Raymond van Barneveld.
MVG has won seven of his 12 clashes with Barney in the Premier League and is 3/10 to make that eight from 13.
He’s been in magnificent form since week two and reeled off five straight legs to blitz Smith 7-2 last week. It’s 11/2 for a repeat scoreline tonight.
A 170 Checkout between two players who are more than capable of hitting the big fish is available at 5/1.
Rob Cross to beat Daryl Gurney
After losing his opening two matches, Rob Cross has not looked back. The world champion has won five in a row.
He’s dropped just two legs in the last two rounds of matches, chalking up a 102.00+ average on both occasions.
Opponent Daryl Gurney is in good form, too. And he’ll have the crowd on his side in Belfast.
It’s also worth noting that these two have peppered the T20 bed with a combined 50 180s so far. Over 7.5 Maximums in the match is available at even-money.
Simon Whitlock to beat Peter Wright
Things can’t get much worse for Peter Wright. The man nicknamed Snakebite looks more like a wounded puppy after suffering three consecutive 7-1 defeats.
Last year’s UK Open champion showed signs of life by reaching the European Darts Open final at the weekend. But he’ll need an improved performance to topple Simon Whitlock in Belfast.
The Aussie arrowsmith clocked a 104.13 average in defeat last week and boasts the league’s fourth-best checkout percentage. Cross the New South Wales native at your peril.
Whitlock is usually good for a big finish, too. You can get 6/5 on the 49-year-old to hit the Highest Checkout in the match.
This week’s Oche Acca is Smith, van Gerwen, Whitlock and Cross all to win at 11/1!
