When Sachin Tendulkar retired from all cricket, it was reasonable to expect India to go through somewhat of a struggle without the man who had been their rock for so long.

Virat Kohli has ensured that the Indian cricket fans quickly found a new idol but, for the Mumbai Indians, life without The Little Master has been far tougher to adjust to.

The defending IPL champions haven’t won any of their previous four matches in the latest IPL rendition and sit bottom of the table. They head into their clash with fellow strugglers Hyderabad Sunrisers as the 11/10 outsiders to claim their first win of the season.

No Mumbai batsman has reached 100 runs for the tournament and their skipper, Rohit Sharma, is the only man to register a 50. He is 3/1 to double that total against Shikhar Dhawan’s side.

Lasith Malinga apart, no Mumbai bowler has more than three wickets in the tournament either and considering the Sri Lankan stump-destroyer needs at least two overs at the end of the innings, the Sunrisers’ “big three” should put the game beyond Mumbai’s reach, at a price of 8/11.

Brute force is Hyderabad’s philosophy and Aaron Finch, Dhawan and David Warner form much of that basis. But with Darren Sammy lying in wait lower down the order, there is little let-up for stewards wary of balls flying to the boundary.

Couple that with the fact that Mumbai have the lowest boundary percentage of all IPL teams this term and the 8/11 on the Sunrisers whacking the most sixes is easily the best bet of the match.

That’s closely followed by the 5/6 about Finch, who has 153 runs at 51 so far, outscoring Rohit Sharma with a +0.5-run handicap. The Indian ODI opener has just 83 runs from the same number of knocks as the Australian.
