England are on course for their seventh straight Twenty20 win today when Cardiff hosts the second T20 match between England and Pakistan.

Despite a slight wobble through the middle order in the first game, England beat Pakistan comfortably by five wickets thanks to a sixth wicket stand of 67 runs from Eoin Morgan and Michael Hardy.

Hardy’s slow left arm also saw him take 1-21 from four overs, earning him the man of the match award and Pakistan will need to be weary of his slow wrist spinners on a Cardiff pitch that plays very slow.

With all the troubles surrounding the Pakistan team, England are strong 4/9 favourites to triumph today and as Pakistan’s efforts in the field continue to fall short of international standard, it’s hard to oppose England.

Although in Shahid Afridi, Pakistan has a captain who can grab a game by the scruff of its neck and they are 13/8, perhaps a little generous considering Afridi and Umar Gul are the leading wicket takers in T20 history.

England made a fast start to the last game with 12 off their first over, compare this with Pakistan’s nine and you could consider the 10/11 to score the most runs in the first over generous.

Having lost the wicket-keeping gloves to Steve Davies, Craig Kieswetter will need to improve his performance in this game after making just 6 in Sunday’s innings, and he is 5/6 to score more runs than his opposite number Kamran Akmal.

The slow Cardiff pitch will suit the spinners and Graeme Swann will be looking to get in amongst the wickets again after taking 2-14 from four on Sunday.

It’s hard to see past England registering their seventh straight win. See the full England vs Pakistan T20 betting market here.
