Trainer John Flint faces some uncertainty over the Cheltenham Festival target of Grams And Ounces.
Unbeaten in three starts since moving to Flint’s stable in Bridgend, the five-year-old was last seen scoring under a 7lb penalty at Ludlow in early January.
“He’s flying at home and we are hoping for a big, big run,” said Flint.
“The race I want to run him in is the County Hurdle but I’ve got a feeling he won’t get in.
“In that case, he’ll run in the conditionals’ race (Martin Pipe) as the owners would like to have a Cheltenham runner, but I’m not sure he’ll get up the hill at the trip.
“He’s an exciting prospect for us, and there’s a conditionals’ race at Aintree in any case.”
