IBF welterweight champion Kell ‘Special K’ Brook takes on Kevin Bizier in front of a packed Sheffield Arena this weekend and a comfortable night’s work has been predicted for the 29-year-old.

With Brook (35-0-0, 24KO)  still eyeing a domestic dust-up with Amir Khan and happy to discuss potential opponents some feel the Sheffield man is distracted and could fail to make good on odds of 1/33 to defend his crown this time round.

Anyone backing up those claims can get 12/1 on Canadian Bizier (25-2-0, 16KO), while an unlikely draw is available at 33/1.

However, the expert advice from the Ladbrokes trading floor is to back the home favourite to the hilt and consider the round betting options for better value.

Sports Trader Adam Williamson can’t see past a routine win for Brook and expects the champ to shine in the middle rounds of the fight.

“Bizier looks durable but pretty one-dimensional and I’d expect Brook to get him out of there by the middle rounds. Brook between rounds 5-8 at 6/4 appeals,” he said.

As for where Brook goes after this fight Williamson is unsure, pointing out that most of the lucrative options are already tied up.

“Manny Pacquiao is taking on Timothy Bradley again, Keith Thurman is due to face Shawn Porter and Amir Khan is fighting Saul Alvarez at Middleweight in May so Kell’s options are limited, “ he added.

“Potential big fights against Danny Garcia or Lamont Peterson look possible but Matchroom promoter Eddie Hearn would have to pay them big bucks to get them over to the UK to fight.”

While Williamson is confident of a stoppage inside rounds five to eight Brook’s history suggests that the third round is when he is at his most deadly.

With six knock-outs coming in the third it is his most prolific round and at odds of 9/1 there is plenty of appeal in backing him to repeat the feat against this weekend’s opponent.
