San Antonio, Atlanta and Portland head up tonight’s NBA treble with plenty of form lines pointing towards a mega payout at odds of nearly 5/1.
The new season may only be in its infancy. But this trio can be relied upon to reinforce current trends and deliver when it matters with a £10 bet on all three to win returning £59.40.
The San Antonio Spurs (2-1) head to Pepsi Center hoping to pile more misery on an out-of-form Denver Nuggets (0-2) side rated as the 29/20 outsiders.
The fact Denver are unfancied is not surprising. The visiting Spurs are 10/17 straight-up favourites for good reason, having gone 17-7 in their last 24 contests and 7-2 against the spread on the road when facing Denver.
And with the hosts shooting less than 100 points in both of their opening games, it’s difficult to look past another Texan triumph
New Nuggets coach Brian Shaw has openly admitted his side have struggled to adapt to his way of thinking and the Spurs are unlikely to offer any respite.
An incredible 11th straight victory over the Sacramento Kings (1-2) is the aim of the Atlanta Hawks (1-2) as they bid to snap a two game losing streak on the road.
Given that statistic, the prospect of a trip to meet the Kings has probably been well received by the Atlanta line-up.
And with Sacramento 1-6 from their last seven and struggling to keep out opponents from long range, the stage could be set for Atlanta’s Kyle Korver to make the Hawks suffer even more from beyond the arc.
Korver made all six of his attempts from three-point range against the Los Angeles Lakers last time out with Atlanta currently averaging nine successful efforts per game.
Another side who certainly haven’t been shot shy are the Portland Trailblazers (2-1).
Terry Stotts’ charges are averaging 106.3 points per game and they’ll seek to utilise that firepower to dispatch of a strong Houston Rockets (3-1) outfit.
And a third straight win could be delivered at the Moda Center if the Trailblazers continue their terrific team effort.
Six Portland players scored 11 points or more in their previous victory over San Antonio and a repeat performance should be enough to see them home once again.
